Growth
Glaciers grow when the glacier gets snow faster than the snow can melt. When the snow falls on a glacier, the snow gets heavy and compacts. After the snow compacts then the snow starts to freeze and become hard. For a glacier to grow the climate needs to receive snow regularly. A glacier shrinks when the glacier can melt faster than the glacier and get snow.
